Marchant once published a lengthy investigation on
Harris, calling his operation ''one of the biggest offshore scams of
all times'' and reported some 34 clients had sued him, demanding
almost $8 million.
Marchant was sued for libel
by Harris. But Harris -- who never actually came to the United
States during the trial -- lost the case.
