But opposition leader Tillman Thomas had some initial reservation.

"We believe that if an inquiry is going to take place at all, there should be some ways of getting the persons involved in the United States to come before that inquiry,"  Thomas told the Grenada Broadcasting Network.

" (This) inquiry (will be) in Grenada setting up at York House, (but) the main players are Eric Resteiner, Timothy Bass and David Marchant --  all three based in the United States. If the terms of reference does not provide for the commissioner to go to US or  to get (the main players) to come to Grenada, then the commission will be a futile exercise," Thomas said.
